A recent study, supported by the national institute on aging and the national institute of health, suggests that even small daily stress factors can lead to health problems later in life.

The relationship between stress and the immune system has been considered for decades. The prevailing attitude between the association of stress and immune system response has been that people under stress are more likely to have an impaired immune system and, as a result, suffer from more frequent illness

While stress isn’t a mental health problem in itself, it often leads to depression, anxiety and self-harm. It can also lead to physical health problems, such as cardiovascular disease and joint and muscle problems.

The latter is calming and restorative; it lowers breathing and heart rate, decreases blood pressure, lowers cortisol levels, and increases blood flow to the intestines and vital organs.
Research shows that a consistent bedtime yoga routine can help you get in the right mindset and prepare your body to fall asleep and stay asleep. Adults who sleep fewer than eight hours a night report higher stress levels than those who sleep at least eight hours a night.

Yes, absolutely. There is no assumed level of fitness required for the yoga classes and workshops I teach. You could be a couch potato or an athlete, yoga can benefit everyone. Yoga can help you gain a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being.

It’s advisable but not essential. If you want to practice at home then having your own mat is a great idea. They aid stability and create a special physical and energetic space for you to practice on. They are available from lots of places at lots of different price points

Yes, absolutely! the meditations that are within the course are perfect for beginners.
